The sentence for the girl who saved her honor and imprisoned for 15 years remains unchanged
In the July 13 and July 27 news, we informed the readers about Shohista Mahsumova who was forced to confess a murdering incident under fear of being raped by Kashkadarya region Internal Affairs Department’s investigator-officers was sentenced for 15 years imprisonment, and that the court hearing is in appeal process.
Today the decision of Kashkadarya region Criminal Cases Appeal Court was announced to keep the sentence unchanged. The Appeal Court took on account the special investigation group's decision that the head of criminal search branch of Kashkadarya region Internal Affairs Department Anvar Ziyodov, the investigator of Nishan area prosecutor's office Shavkat Fayziev and two more officers did not use illegal questioning methods against Shohista Mahsumova.
It is necessary to remind that offenses to the dignity cases are becoming regular. As an example, in May of the last year, by the Tashkent city Mirzo Ulugbek region Internal Affairs Department officers was raped Rayhon Soatova, in summer of the last year in Samarkand 18 years old girl was raped and the derivatives of these terrible events - one boy and girl - are growing in the women' prison.
