The Religion Studies Department of Oriental University shut down
The Religion Studies Department of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has been shut down. Applicants were not accepted this year to this Department and the decree of this Department to be shut down was released recently, confirmed one of the students of the department to our reporter.
There is no doubt that shutting down the department is the derivative of the new state policy to limit religious freedom. Now, the religion studies specialists will come out of the Tashkent Islam University and Islam University only.
