American Diplomat disapproved sending back Uzbek refugees to Kyrgyzstan just like "Harakat" agency did earlier
In today’s earlier news we evaluated sending Uzbek refugees back to Kyrgyzstan by Uzbekistan as a betrayal, and time will come for answers.
Monolingual Russian gazeta.uz web site which is working under Uzbek government control, informs that Erik Schwartz, assistant of US State Secretary on Population, Refugees and Migrationmet with Uzbek officials to discuss situation with Uzbek refugees who fled from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan’s Fergana province. However, before the meeting, all refugees were back to Kyrgyzstan already. The news is therefore comical.
According to gazeta.uz, Erik Schwartz said that sending refugees back to Kyrgyzstan in such an unstable time would cause worries. If to translate statement, US official also disapproved sending refugees back to Kyrgyzstan.
