International exhibition “Oil and Gas Uzbekistan – OGU 2010” and opinion of "Harakat"
Fourteenth international exhibition “Oil and Gas Uzbekistan – OGU 2010” has been launched today in Tashkent’s UzExpoCenter.
The OGU is organized by the international exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan, member of UFI, and its partners I.T.E. Exhibitions & Conference Ltd. (UK), ITE Moscow, GIMA (Germany) and ITE China.
At the beginning of the show, U.Nazarov, the "UzbekOilGas" chairman praised of the Islam Karim's patronage and great outcome after widely made reforms in developing the oil-gas field.
"Of course Islam Karim might do this" , says "Harakat" journalist. But, in order to save Uzbekistan, which is in deep crisis in all fields, oil - gas alone cannot play main role because there is no extra oil over Uzbekistan's demands. We're doing better with natural gas. As we mentioned in earlier news, Turkmenistan has 8-9 trillions cube meters of natural gas, meanwhile Uzbekistan has just 1.8 trillion cube meters. Turkmenistan’ population is 4.4 million, Uzbekistan’s - almost 30, i.e., potential of natural resources of Uzbekistan is much less than our neighbor's potential.
In any case, these kinds of shows which began in Tashkent today are useful. But , Uzbekistan and its president must work on the strategic ways to get Uzbekistan out of current situation. It is a pity that nobody else accept "Birlik" Party wants to think about these issues.
