The prosecutor demands for journalist Hayrulla Hamidov 7 years of imprisonment
The court process against journalist Hayrulla Hamidov and his associates, who were detained on January 22 of this year, with charges of organizing religious radical group and putting the society into danger has started. Tashkent region prosecutor assistant demanded for the journalist Hayrulla Hamidov 7 years imprisonment in Yangiyol region criminal affairs court. The Human Rights activists group also informs that, 3 to 7 years of imprisonment was demanded for 19 other religious detainees, 6 years for 10 detainees and less than 3 years for 4 detainees.
As we previously told, 39 people belonging to religious groups were detained with charges of belonging to "jihad" religious radical movement.
