Human Rights Watch (HRW) about the report of Uzbekistan's human rights situation and the pathetic actions of one of the Uzbek human rights activists
Yesterday, well known Human Rights Watch organization distributed a special report evaluating Uzbekistan's report to the United Nation's Human Rights Committee. The name of the report says for itself- "The United Nation's body considers the situation in Uzbekistan as critical ".
Based on this, HRW asks all cooperating countries and structures like European Union to make an affect to Uzbekistan government. HRW reminds about the facts, mentioned in the UN’s Committee, showing crucial situation in Uzbekistan and says the report is not worth of acceptation.
It is known that the report presented by Uzbekistan to the UN's Committee of Human Rights had place on 11-12 of March. Uzbek human rights activist Sukhrob Ismoilov who participated the hearing of the report at that time did not share any information.
He did not respond to any electronic messages from human rights activist colleagues. Frankly, he did not do his job. As he returns home, only after his colleagues' push, he did some little transcripts, posted them on Russian sites and, some for, named them "Expert Group report".
In opinion of "Harakat" Information Agency's reporter, Sukhrob Ismoilov's actions are unacceptable. From the third party information, Sukhrob Ismailov in New York acted as a government representative. Now it is clearer why he did not share the information on time.
