Life in Kyrgyzstan better than in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, say experts
The life quality in Kyrgyzstan is higher than in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, the index published by a popular U.S. monthly magazine - International Living said.
The index considered living costs, economy, infrastructure, environment, health care, culture and leisure, freedom, risk and security, climate conditions with a maximum of 100 points by each criterion.
Lithuania (73), Estonia (71), Latvia (70) are obvious leaders among the post-Soviet states, which are followed by Moldova (65), Ukraine (62), Georgia (56) and Armenia (56). Therewith, Belarus and Russia take 54 points, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan - 51, Uzbekistan - 49, Kazakhstan - 48, Turkmenistan - 46.
France has topped the life quality rating with 82 points, while Australia, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand, Luxembourg, U.S., Belgium, Canada and Italy round out the top ten. Somalia completes the list of 194 states by the International Living index with only 30 points. // 24.kg
