15:37 - Uzbekistan - Meeting at Oqsaroy

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov at Oqsaroy, 18 January.

According to Head of our state, the visit constitutes a good opportunity to exchange views on not only bilateral, but also multilateral issues of primary importance in order to raise our relations to a higher level.

Today, the cooperation of the two countries develops in political, trade, economic, cultural, and many other spheres.

At the talk, Igor Shuvalov expressed his gratitude to President of Uzbekistan for the warm welcome, stressing his delight with the state of bilateral relations and the process of implementing agreements reached by leaders of the two countries during previous summits.

Prospects to enhance bilateral cooperation as well as other topics of mutual interest were discussed at the occasion. // ISRIA
